Roller Skating

We decided to go roller skating yesterday for our family day! Whew! What an experience! The last time I took Bryden, she was about 2 1/2 and we made it around the rink two times before she was over it and I walked out with major back pain! Anyway, this time, each lap, Bryden got better, and was even skating by herself at the end. They tightened the wheels on her skates to make it easier for her, and she was so funny, she'd skate a lap or two, then go sit down by Jim and take a break or practice on the carpet, then she'd be ready to go again. Check out the video clip, you will see her progress from starting between my legs (that was no good for either of us!!!), to holding my hand, to eventually going by herself. There is also a little bit of her dancing...we were definitely in the minority, and the urban folk that go there have some smooth moves, and music, that Bryden was picking up on! Hilarious! Enjoy!

Happy Birthday Bryden

Today is Bryden's fourth birthday! Yea! She had her birthday party yesterday at Jump Zone (inflatables) and had a blast with a lot of her friends. Then today, at school, she got to do the "Birthday Walk". They light a candle and place cards around the candle on the floor that have the name of each month on them. She holds the world (a globe) in her hands and finds the month of her birthday. Then she walks the "world" around the "sun" four times to symbolize each year of her life. We got to attend that today, so that was fun. We had a great weekend with family and friends (thanks Memere and Pepere for making the trip all the way from Maine) and cannot believe that our little girl is four! Enjoy the pics!

BFFs

Bryden and her friend Rachael have spent a lot of time together this summer. They are hilarious together and have a blast playing dress up, "Family" and school together. I can't tell you how many outfits they go through together...well, even Bryden just on her own goes through at least 4 outfits a day, but together, it is double trouble! Rach spent the night last night, and to help the girls release some energy, we went to Jump Zone for two hours! Here are some cute pics of the diva princesses! Enjoy!
