Our Beauties

I took the girls to get their annual photos at Portrait Innovations. They do a wonderful job there, and even though Emmy wanted nothing to do with taking pics that day, they managed to get some great shots. Bryden was totally working the camera and loved posing, and she took some AMAZING photos. Both of their personalities came shining through on their pics, Bryden, who loves attention and being on display, and Emmy who loves to be goofy! Enjoy the pics!

Beach Day

Jim and Emmy flew up to Maine for a few days, so Bryden and I got some awesome big girls bonding time! We went to Water Country and rode ALL the big rides like 3 times, we went to Va Beach with Chandra all day, and met up with our neighbors down there, so Bryden got to play with Alex, we had a slumber party at Chandra and Murat's, Bryden made fresh orange juice and homemade chocolate chip cookies, we went to Busch Gardens for the Emily Osment ("Lilly" from Hannah Montana) concert and rode some rides, and finally spent the night at Nanne and Grampa's house and visited with Aunt Babe and Uncle Len who were in town. Phew! We are finally back home and really looking forward to Emmy and Daddy returning tomorrow! Enjoy!

Precious Girls

Here are some cute pics of our gorgeous girls. The first one is one of my favorites, and a scene I am seeing a lot lately. I moved this white table into the kitchen when we had guests in town, and I have left it there. The girls love sitting at it together to eat breakfast and lunch together, and Emmy starts to fuss if I try to put her in her high chair, she wants to be at the "big girl" table. THere is a cute pic of Emmy reading her books. Since "Mission Organize" rampaged the house last week, I rearranged some things in the toy room. Emmy loves looking at books so I put them on the bottom shelf, and now, every day, several times a day, she goes and pulls all the books off the shelf and scatters them all around her and just looks through them pointing to the horsey, or doggie, or ducky, or Tigger (who she loves!!!). It is so cute, she will sit in there for a good 20 minutes and just go through them all! Then there are some cute pics of the girls from this weekend when we went to the river with our buddies the Moore's. Emmy was diggin' running around nudy booty! She was rolling in the sand and water and splashing, it was so funny. And Bryden got to go tubing and had a blast jumping off the dock with Rachael.

Virginia Beach

Last week, I took the girls down to Va Beach to visit Aunt Chandra and Uncle Murat, and we had a great day! First we picked up lunch and went to the beach and played in the water and ate lunch and snacked on some watermelon. Bryden had a blast in the water and playing with Uncle Murat, who is pretty much a kid at heart, but Emmy didn't want any part of it. She was tired, but the first time I took her in the ocean, she got splashed and the water was cool at first, and she did not enjoy that one bit, so, she wanted no part of the water the rest of the afternoon! Oh well, she enjoyed her self in other ways, but eating chips and watermelon all afternoon! Enjoy the pics!

Jamestown

We got to play tourists when our good friends the Etherton's were in town visiting. We went to Jamestown with them and had a great time seeing all of the reinactments of the history of our country. Bryden had a great time with Luke and Eli. It was really sweet to see how well the boys played with her, and her and Eli totally hit it off! Enjoy!

Camping in New Jersey

We went camping last week with Nanne and Grampa and some family friends. The girls had a great time making new friends with the four other kiddos on the trip, and we had a blast swimming, playing candy bar bingo, crabbing, making smores, enjoying some great company, great food, and great memories! The weather was gorgeous, finally a break from the intense heat we've had this summer! Enjoy the pics!
