Goofy Girl

Here are some goofy pics of Bryden...she's wearing Emmy's pants on her head! P.S...That shiny stuff all around her mouth, yeah, that's lip gloss, such a beauty queen we have on our hands. Oh, funny story quick too, tonight, I was packing for a wedding we have this weekend, and I was trying to figure out what to wear to the wedding. Bryden, the little fashionista that she is, says (as she is laying in bed ready to sleep) "Um, when you decide which dress to wear, leave it on my bed so I can look at it last year, OK?"...First of all, she picks out what she is going to wear to school the next day and lays it on the bottom of the bed , so it made total sense to her for me to lay it on her bed so she could see it in the morning (95% of the time she decides not to wear what she picked out the night before!!!) and Second of all, she gets really confused on the concept of time, last night, tomorrow, last year, next year...they all mean the same thing to her! I guess she thinks I need her approval for what to wear, but, to be fair, I picked out two dresses and asked which one she thought would look better...I did end up packing the one she picked :o) Enjoy the pics!

Strawberry Pickin'

We went up to Wintergreen last night for the evening to get away and enjoy the mountains. On the way up we saw signs for Strawberry picking, so we decided to stop today for a fresh pick. It is toward the end of pickin season, so we had to search pretty hard to find some, but we got about 6 small baskets of decent strawberries. They we small in size, but huge in taste, yummy! We are going to try to go back in a couple weeks for cherries and peaches! Enjoy the pics!

Up at Wintergreen, they have a kids area that has jump-arounds, rock climbing and trampoline bungee jumping. Bryden wanted to try the trampoline jump, so they got her hooked up and she was soaring as high as the trees...and LOVED every minute of it! Enjoy!

Miles of Smiles

Emerson is really smiling a ton now and is so interactive. She is babbling and hollerin, it is so funny! She really sounds like she is carrying on a conversation with us when we ask her questions. She sits in her high chair when I am making food in the kitchen and just carries on and on the whole time I am cooking...hilarious!

Lazy Sunday

Look at these two cute buddies! Hanging out on the couch on a lazy, rainy Sunday afternoon...Precious! We love how Emmy is holding on to Bryden's arm, like she has her little arm wrapped around her big sister! Enjoy!




















Oh my Gosh!!! Even more cute...I posted the first pic, went to the bathroom, and by the time I got back, this is what I found on the couch! It made me tear up it is so dang precious! We are so blessed to have two such loving, beautiful children!

I just love baby feet! Even now, with Bryden's feet getting so big, I still love them. When we cuddle in bed in the mornings or evening, I like to just hold her feet...Don't know what it is, cause I definitely DON'T like touching Jim's feet...yuck! Here is a precious pic of Emmy's little pigs!

Green Thumbs

We are trying our hand at gardening this summer. My sister has done it for several years, and our good friends Scott and Dawn from Maine tried last summer and had some awesome veggies to snack on when we visited last year. Sooooo, here we go. We planned to start small with four tomato plants and one cucumber plant. Well, our neighbor Karen popped over, who I should tell you has a master green thumb (she grows fruit trees, vegetables, raises bunnies and now has chickens so she can gather the eggs!)...anyway, she said she had some seeds left over from her planting days. So, we ended up with beans, pumpkin, snap peas and sunflowers! WOW! She did not get the memo that we are gardening virgins! Oh well, we'll give it a go! The sunflowers are planted...apparently they are the REALLY big ones. We made a makeshift greenhouse by putting the other seeds into ziploc bags with a wet paper towel. We have taped them to the kitchen window to incubate for a week or so, then we will plant them in the garden as well! We will put up progress pictures throughout the summer, so check back! I will try to get a final pic of the garden tomorrow, I have a couple finishing touches to do. P.S. Thanks Jim for building us the box for the box garden, and for loading in all the dirt. And thanks to Aunt Chandra and Uncle Murat for getting the tomato and cucumber plants, and Ms. Karen for sharing her knowledge and her seeds. Enjoy the pics!

Graduation Weekend

We had two graduations this weekend to attend, one in New York and one in Virginia. Jim took Bryden up to his cousin Patrick's graduation at Syracuse, and Emerson and I went to JMU for John's graduation. Congratulations boys...good luck in the real world!!! Here are some cute pics! Enjoy!
