Date Night with Daddy

Jim asked Bryden out for a date tonight. He gave her a few options, and they settled on the Miss Mechanicsville pageant. They headed to Dave and Busters for dinner, well, apparently they had dessert first, then some games. They aren't home yet, but I am sure they had a blast, and I know Bryden enjoyed some special time with her Daddy! Enjoy the pics!

So Young...Yet It Begins

We had a great dinner with our neighbors the Reeds on Saturday night. We had some great food and watched The Karate Kid outside around a campfire. Our girls are making moves on the boys already...where are we headed???? Oh, and yes, Bryden and Alex are holding hands, and Emmy and Zach are doing who knows what behind the umbrella...Cute none-the-less!

Start of Spring

We had some great weather this weekend and we made it to the park for a little while. Emmy did not want to have anything to do with the camera, especially when I was trying to get a pic of both girls together, but there are some great shots of Bryden. We had a very late night the night before, and though we girls did take a 3 hour nap, yes, three hours, the little girls were still tired. Bryden got caught up watching a lot of the other kids and I caught her in a daze in several pics, but she is a "watcher", always has been, she enjoys observing other people, so I liked the shots of her that I got like that. Enjoy!

Video Uploads

This is HILARIOUS...Bryden isn't really that into Justin Beiber, but our neighbor is, so she kind of picked up on it this week. Here are two funny videos of our crazy daughter, who loves to sing and put on a show. She made up her own words for the Beiber song, and I love listening what she thinks the words are in the Taylor Swift song, but what gets me are her dance moves...where did they come from, she is totally working it! Enjoy!

This is a video from Valentine's Day. Jim surprised us girlies when we got home from swim practice. He had the hallway from the garage where we enter the house all lined with rose petals and confetti, leading into the toy room. He set up the video and hid while he listened and watched his girls be surprised! I love Bryden's opening response to it all.
These next two are typical day for Emmy when she comes to practice with me during swim season...it is this, or her wandering around the pool deck with snacks, or sitting on the edge of the pool hollering at the kids and getting soaked, she generally wants to be stripped down to her diaper...sorry it is sideways, I took it on my cell phone.

"It's an award, I won an award!" Haha, this is a video of the Leg Lamp Jim got for Christmas...the same one that is in A Christmas Story, which is an all-time favorite movie of Jim's, he watches it several times a week, starting after Halloween!
This is a LONG video from our big sledding adventure in Williamsburg. We got a huge snow storm the day after Christmas, so we got some awesome sledding in. The video is long, but there are some really funny ones, so I just kept them all in there. I took me dad out on one run with Emmy when we hit the jump, no worries, he was ok!

Here's a cute video of Bryden and Emmy jamming to a song in the movie "Santa's Paws".

Rainy Day Fun

Soooo, we got poured on today with tons of rain, but luckily it was warm enough that the girls got to go out and jump in some puddles. They had a good time, of course Bryden, who is such a diva she can't even stand to get her clothes dirty, even to get water on them, she doesn't like to sweat, or to do anything un-diva-ish, well, she jumped in one puddle and her jeans got all wet, so just just walked through the rest...And Emmy, who is the total opposite, she loves to roll in mud, smear yogurt all over herself, and everything else for that matter, well, she sat right IN the puddles. It was so funny to see how differently they played in the water. And of course, you have to check out Emmy's crazy hair. She and I had played outside in the rain earlier, so it got all wet, then she napped, and when she woke up, we went out again...as you can tell her hair is totally crazy! Haha! Enjoy the pics!

Bryden Skiing

Well, it is the first weekend in March, and we are just getting to go skiing! Hmmmm...swim season throws us off a little! Better late than never! Bryden and I went up to Wintergreen with Sherry and Rachael. Both girls got a private lesson Friday evening, and Bryden ROCKED it out! She is such an athlete, and she just rolled with it from the start. This is her second lesson, but she hasn't skiied since last winter, so I think that is pretty awesome. I love the way they teach the little ones to ski...arms straight out to the side to stop , right arm points to the left to turn left, left arm crosses to the right to turn right. It works so well, their bodies just do what the arms tell it to. You can see in some of the pics how Bryden is using her arms to control her body! She is awesome, it was so much fun watching her go down the mountain all by herself! Enjoy!
