Emmy Getting Dirty

I was hosing things off the other day, and Emmy had a blast playing in the mud puddles and getting dirty! She LOVES trying to follow Bryden and she tries to get on Bryden's old bike and scooter all the time. It is so cute because she is so petite and has no fear of climbing up on these big toys, and falling a lot of the time, and just getting back on again! Feisty and fearless, that is our Little Emmy! She has grown so much these past two weeks, her world is making sense to her, and it is so much fun to see the lights going on each day. She has learned where some of her body parts are, and she is saying the name for them (though most of her words still sound like 'dada'),and her favorite is her belly. She will pull her shirt up and point to it and say 'dada'! She is such a joy to watch, though stressful at times because she is so fearless! The first picture sums up how much fun she is having in her element! Oh, and I am pretty sure that Emmy was a dog in her past life. She loves to play in the toilet, she digs in our trashcan in the kitchen all the time (and yes, it has a top on it), and, she loves to lick up any liquid that is on the floor, ground or table top(she will spill her milk on her high chair just so she can lick it up!)...yup, she is licking the water off the ground in the second to last picture! Disney Trip

We went down to Orlando last week for a Burger King Convention, and we got to play at Disney a couple days. We went to Magic Kingdom with Nanne and Aunt Chandra one day, and the next day we went to Animal Kingdom with Jim. We are definitely not big fans of Animal Kingdom, it was ok, and had a great roller coaster that Bryden loved (there is a pic of it), and even Jim rode it (he is NOT a big fan of roller coasters, but has riden quite a few lately!!!)...But it was basically a big zoo. And, Emmy got to see Minnie for the first time, well not really "see" her since she fell asleep right before our turn, but you know what I mean! We got to play in the pool quite a bit as well, and Bryden was doing handstands and Emmy loved floating around and hanging out on the top step. Oh, I almost forgot, Bryden rode Space Mountain! Holy Moly, she was just tall enough, and I didn't tell her that is was pitch black inside while on the ride, and we realized when we got closer that she was going to have to ride in front of me instead of next to me (single seats, but there are three seats per car)! But she totally rolled with it and she rode and LOVED it! She is SOOOO my roller coaster buddy! I LOVE it! Enjoy the pics!

Bryden's Bike-a-thon

At Bryden's pre-school, Three Oaks Montessori, they held a Bike-a-thon fundraiser on morning. The kids were split into two groups, with the bigger kids in one group (Bryden's) and the smaller kids in another. Bryden rode 31 laps in 10 minutes and did awesome! It was so exciting to watch the kids having so much fun, and be so determined to do well! THey had a spirit contest too, which is why the bikes are all decorated! Enjoy the pics!

Emmy's Hokie Pokie

Recently, Emmy has been all about music! She made up her own sign for "dance" and she will look at the radio and sign "dance", but she never really dances...until the other night! Bryden has a keychain that plays a song from High School Musical, and Emmy will walk around the house pushing the button over and over to hear the music. The other night, my Mom and Jim were hanging out in the kitchen and my awesome hubby grabbed the camera and caught this footage...I think Emmy will rock the Hokie Pokie for sure! Enjoy!
