Annual Apple Pickin' Outing

Nanne and Grampa came and picked us all up in the "Party Bus" and we drove up to Charlottesville Saturday night to camp out at a campground near the Apple Orchard. We had some yummy food and roasted marshmellows before hitting the sack in the camper. The next day we got up early and hit up Carter Mountain Apple Orchard. We have gone up every year for the past four years or so, and it is so beautiful and so much fun to pick pounds on pounds of apples! This was the first year both Nanne and Grampa came with us, so it was an extra special treat! We made lots of applesauce with all the apples we picked! The last several pics are Bryden having fun with the camera...you can tell by the lower angle :o)...a photographer in the making! Even Emmy is jumping on board and starting to snap some shots! Spaghetti Face

Oh yes, Emmy still has plenty of dog in her! I swear she is Cinnie reincarnated! She LOVES to eat her food off her plate like a dog, and of course, Jim loves to encourage it, especially spaghetti! Here are some pics of the two of them throughly enjoying themselves! A Christmas Story anyone????

Pepere Busts A Move

Pepere has been visiting us all week, and we have had a really great time! The girls are getting lots of loving and lots of Pepere time, and last night, while the girls were having a dance party before bed, Pepere got right up and joined them. Ehhhh Cow (I am sure that is not the proper spelling, but that is what the northerners say, and that is what it sounds like...it is probably some french word for real though!). Awesome video, PRICELESS! Enjoy!

Emmy's First Day of Pre-School

YAY! Emmy is so excited to be going to "cool" as she calls it! She is 2 1/2 and in she started her first day at West End Montessori today! She only went for an hour today and the parents could stay to help with the transition, and she did great! She let both teachers show her some work, she completed the work correctly, then put it back on the shelf! She is so funny like that too, she has does that at home all the time, things go back where she got them, and if I ask her to clean up, she gets every last piece. The second time she got the work out, she did the work, then threw the last fuzzy ball right at her teachers head! Ha! She found it quite comical! There are some relaly cute pics of her before we left for school. Her poses look so old and mature...and yes, she's a bit tired and her day had barely even started! Enjoy!

Bryden's First Day of Kindergarten

WOW! Bryden is going to Kindergarten!!! I can't believe she is getting to be such a big girl. I remember her first day of pre-school three years ago and now, she will be the oldest in her montessori classroom. She is attending West End Montessori for the second year, and we are excited to see how she grows this year! Bryden's morning started early, coming into our room around 2am to snuggle in bed with us. Bryden and Jim got the outside, I got to be the hotdog in the middle. I got up early to go swim that morning, and Emmy woke up as I was leaving. I tried to tuck her back in bed, but apparently she didn't want to go down, so Jim brought her in our room too. When I got home from swimming, I found all three sound asleep in our bed! So cute! Then, the night before, Bryden had requested breakfast in bed, so Jim obliged and made it for her...eggs, bacon, toast and juice, all made with love and delivered with a flower! Enjoy the pics!

This next video cracks me up. We were at Nanne and Grampa's and Emmy was supposed to be napping...not so much! She took her diaper and shirt off and was playing, then put her shirt back on. She is such a peanut, we call her bum a "tiny hiney". Around the 1:28 mark, you can hear her singing "tiny hiney". Before I got the video on her, she was alternating between singing "tiny hiney" and "nudy booty". Enjoy!
