Cherry Pickin'

Man, we are becoming fruit picking experts! We went cherry picking on Father's Day, it was a heck of a lot of work for only about 2 1/2 pounds. They just opened last weekend and were already pretty well picked over. The good ones were way at the top of the tree, Bryden and I had to be monkey's to climb up the trees to get to them. Hmmm, overall experience...way too much work for not much reward. We like apple and pumpkin pickin better!

Memere came to visit us last weekend, this is a cute one of her and Emerson.














Bryden is phasing out of naps, but she is really tired in the afternoon, and she gets really clumsy. She needed a nap today, but she argued, so I let her pick where she wanted to nap...I found her in our room on the big chair...I couldn't pass up the photo op. I love how the sun plays on her hair, she looks so angelic sleeping (even with dorito mess all around her face and on her hands!)




Emmy naps best in her carseat. I am to the point now, even if we have no where to be, if she falls asleep nursing, I put her in the carseat, she sleeps much longer there!

Grampa is showing Emerson the garden! Thanks to Grampa, we now have 3 more tomato plants, 2 more cucumber plants, 3 bell pepper plants, 2 watermelon and 2 canteloupe plants! Yipee!

Busch Gardens

Yay for a gorgeous day at Busch today! We took Bryden's friend Rachael with us, and they had a blast! Jim even rode Big Bad Wolf, and ALL the rides we went on...yeah, Jim, way to go...conquer those fears! They just opened a Sesame Street area this year, and the girls loved that!

Our First Tomato

Yay! We finally have our first tomato! We went out of town this past weekend for a wedding, and when we got back, we checked the veggie garden, and sure enough, one of our Sweet Million tomatoes was ready for pickin'. Bryden got to do the honors, and of course, she ate it right away...all she said was "Mmmmmm, it's good!" So far we are off to a good start! Five of the six bean plants we planted are growing, 2 of the four sunflowers are growing, a bunch of carrots, and all four tomato plants are still alive (yipee) and the cucumber plant is growing pretty good so far! Not too bad for our first year! Enjoy!
