Emmy Learns to Sit

Emerson learned to sit over the weekend...yes, it is all thanks to Grampa...well, most of it anyway! We had been working on it for the past couple weeks, and for forward and backward ab strength was really strong, but her lateral strength, not so much. Well, we went away for the weekend for our anniversary, and Dad worked with Emmy and when we got back, she was sitting pretty darn good, all by herself. She still topples over a little bit, but she is figuring it all out, and catches herself more often than not! Enjoy the pics!

Lunch Time

Emerson is eating baby food now...homemade for the most part, I might add. So far, she likes anything orange the best. Her favorite is sweet potatoes, she likes pumpkin squash and carrots too. She's not such a big fan of the greens, like peas, or even my homemade green beans, and the carrot and spinach combo, yeah, she gagged twice, so I didn't make her eat anymore of that! Bryden really loves to help out with Emerson too. The other day, she wanted to feed her, then clean her off. Here are some cute pics of why Bryden needed to clean her! Enjoy!

Addition to the Family

We are happy to announce that we will have an addition to the family in the spring...my brother, John, is getting married (HA! Suckers...you thought I was going to say we are pregnant again! Gotcha! Though we do want more kids for sure, we want to enjoy our two girls for a bit longer before we add to the mix). Anyway, John asked his girlfriend Sandi to marry him this past Friday, which was actually our 5th wedding anniversary! Yay for special days! Congrats to you guys, there is nothing better than marrying your best friend and spending your life with someone you love, I can attest to that! Welcome to the family Sandi! Happy Fifth Anniversary to Us

Today is our fifth wedding anniversary! Yay us! We are going to Wintergreen for the weekend, sans kiddos, to indulge in some relaxation and couple time! Jim, thanks for the amazing man you are to all who know you, for the incredible father you are to our beautiful daughters, and for the husband, friend and companion you are to me. I love you, and the family we have created, and I look forward to remembering the past and creating memories in the future with you. The Girls!

Here are some cute pictures of the girls. We went to the river with some friends this weekend, and there are some cute pics of them eating watermelon, and Emmy swinging in the airplane swing. Bryden went tubing for the first time and loved it! Enjoy!

Fun in the Bumbo Seat

I just got Emmy a Bubmo seat and she loves it. We have been feeding her in it instead of the high chair cause it is easier to clean and she is more on our eye level. She makes a huge mess when eating, because, as we all know, she loves to have her hands in her mouth....so, after every bite, the hand goes in the mouth, then the messy hand goes to the eye, or ear, or hair, or toes, or whatever else she can grab! Man oh Man! Enjoy!
