Precious Girls

Here are some cute pics of our gorgeous girls. The first one is one of my favorites, and a scene I am seeing a lot lately. I moved this white table into the kitchen when we had guests in town, and I have left it there. The girls love sitting at it together to eat breakfast and lunch together, and Emmy starts to fuss if I try to put her in her high chair, she wants to be at the "big girl" table. THere is a cute pic of Emmy reading her books. Since "Mission Organize" rampaged the house last week, I rearranged some things in the toy room. Emmy loves looking at books so I put them on the bottom shelf, and now, every day, several times a day, she goes and pulls all the books off the shelf and scatters them all around her and just looks through them pointing to the horsey, or doggie, or ducky, or Tigger (who she loves!!!). It is so cute, she will sit in there for a good 20 minutes and just go through them all! Then there are some cute pics of the girls from this weekend when we went to the river with our buddies the Moore's. Emmy was diggin' running around nudy booty! She was rolling in the sand and water and splashing, it was so funny. And Bryden got to go tubing and had a blast jumping off the dock with Rachael.

Virginia Beach

Last week, I took the girls down to Va Beach to visit Aunt Chandra and Uncle Murat, and we had a great day! First we picked up lunch and went to the beach and played in the water and ate lunch and snacked on some watermelon. Bryden had a blast in the water and playing with Uncle Murat, who is pretty much a kid at heart, but Emmy didn't want any part of it. She was tired, but the first time I took her in the ocean, she got splashed and the water was cool at first, and she did not enjoy that one bit, so, she wanted no part of the water the rest of the afternoon! Oh well, she enjoyed her self in other ways, but eating chips and watermelon all afternoon! Enjoy the pics!

Jamestown

We got to play tourists when our good friends the Etherton's were in town visiting. We went to Jamestown with them and had a great time seeing all of the reinactments of the history of our country. Bryden had a great time with Luke and Eli. It was really sweet to see how well the boys played with her, and her and Eli totally hit it off! Enjoy!

Camping in New Jersey

We went camping last week with Nanne and Grampa and some family friends. The girls had a great time making new friends with the four other kiddos on the trip, and we had a blast swimming, playing candy bar bingo, crabbing, making smores, enjoying some great company, great food, and great memories! The weather was gorgeous, finally a break from the intense heat we've had this summer! Enjoy the pics!

Surprise Trip to Maine

We received an invitation to a surprise party for Memere's (Jim's mom, Pat) retirement from working in Human Services for 42 years (THAT deserves a huge round of applause!). We decided to do some surprising of our own, and surprise Memere at her surprise party! I think we did a good job, she had no idea we were coming...nor did she have any idea we planned on staying for a week!!! Haha! Surprise! Jim had to head back home the day after the party, so I stayed up in Maine with the girls, and man oh man did we have a great time! Memere called in "sick" to work the whole week we were there (funny thing is, she really DID get sick while we were there), and we hit the beach, Palace Playland, Jokers and just had an all around great time hanging out with Memere and Pepere! Our girls are so blessed to have two sets of amazing grandparents, who are both in love with our kids, as well as with each other, which serves as a great model for our children. Thank you Memere and Pepere for rolling with our surprise, and showing us girls a fabulous week, we were sad to leave! Enjoy the pics! There are some super cute ones in there!

Independence Day Weekend

We went up to Wintergreen for July Fourth again this year, since last year we had a blast. Nanne and Grampa came up with us, and we had a great couple days listening to the bands, browsing the craft show, swimming at the lake and watching the amazing fireworks. It is by far the best place we have been to celebrate July Fourth! We really enjoy it up there at that time of year! Enjoy the pics!

Emmy Gets Glasses

Emmy started to have a lazy eye around 15 months in her left eye. We were referred to the Eye Doctor, and she said that Emmy is about twice as farsighted as what is normal in kids. Her left eye, which is the one we noticed would turn in, is weaker as far as her sight, but there are not muscle or nerve issues. So, the Dr. said that Emmy would probably end up in glasses at some point in the near future, but she had seemed to be straightening her left eye out ok when we were at the Dr. But, after a couple weeks, she was still not able to keep it straightened out, especially when she was tired, so we went ahead and got glasses for her. She does ok with them, but she takes them off in the car all the time and when she eats, but we do find her without them fairly often and have to send her searching for them. Enjoy the pics!
