Decorating the Yard

It's Christmas Time...The Most Wonderful Time of the Year for sure! We do up our yard pretty good each year, and this year both girls we huge helpers on a chilly day! Bryden put together the whole merry-go-round all by herself, and both girls decorated the front door! Enjoy!

Breakfast with Santa

Jim took the girls to have breakfast with Santa at Bass Pro Shops one Saturday morning! He said it was a pretty sweet set up, the Santa was awesome, and each kid got a special toy from Santa! Here are some cute pics of our family getting in the Christmas spirit! Enjoy!

Random November Pics

Here are some cute and random pictures from November! Most of them are from the girls playing outside, the last couple are of Emmy wearing a hand towel at the hotel when we were visiting Chandra, and lastly, Emmy, on her little perch at the pool one day when she came to swim practice with me. She is so funny, she just sits on the edge of the pool and gets soaked and eats her snack and waves at the kids as they come in on each set. I don't have a picture of it, but the other day when she was at practice, she had on just a t-shirt at diaper, and she kept sliding on her belly, on purpose, in the water puddles that gathered on the pool deck from the kids splashing...so funny! The kids get a big kick out of her and Bryden! Enjoy!

Playing in the Leaves

We had to clean up all our leaves to get the yeard prepared for all our Christmas decorations, so of course the girls had a great time! Here are a couple cute pics!

Thanksgiving Day

This picture deserves a post all of its' own! This is from Thanksgiving day, and for about a week, Bryden reminded me everyday what she was going to wear for Thanksgiving. "Mom, remember, I am going to wear my pink shirt that looks like it has a shirt under it but it doesn't really, and my black pants and my new cowboy boots...and you're still going to straighten my hair, Mom, right?" Surprisingly, she did all of what she said she was going to...she will set clothes out for school the night before, then is notorious for deliberating for 15 minutes in her closet the next morning deciding what to wear! I just don't get it...I htink uniforms are in her future! She is such a DIVA...and this picture captures her very essence! Watch out, here comes trouble!

Baby Kaya is Born

Well, we breezed right through November and hardly got any pictures. It ended up being a bit of a crazy time! My sister, who was due with her first baby just before Christmas, went to North Carolina with my mom and her water ended up breaking four weeks before her due date. She went to Duke hospital and they decided it would be best for her to stay there, not to return home to Va Beach, just in case, since she was so early...Well, 5 DAYS LATER (yes, she was in labor for four whole days), and quite a range of emotions for everyone over the days, Baby Kaya joined the world on November 20, 2010. He was just a peanut at 5 lbs and 8 oz, but he was healthy and got to stay with his mom and dad in the hospital! Chandra and Murat used my camera for the week, but took all the pics off, so I only have the couple that I took with my phone! We are so happy for the new addition to our family and the girls are excited to have a "cousin brother" as Bryden calls him! The girls got a quick peek at Kaya in the lobby of the hospital, but they would not let the girls go back to visit Chandra. Bryden is so anxious to hold little Kaya, so hopefully soon...Welcome to our crazy family Kaya!

Halloween 2010

Happy Halloween!!! This year, Bryden has bounced back and forth between wanting to be Spider Girl and a Nurse, and sometimes saying she was just going to help hand out candy! Today, all day, she was planning to be Spider Girl, but at the last minute, decided to be a nurse...with her hair straightened! Emmy was a Fairy Princess (a.k.a. a last minute find of an old flowy leotard of Bryden's...luckily she doesn't care yet!!!) Jim was "Robby Ray" from Hannah Montana, and our lovely Bryden painted his face for him. What started as painting on a mustache and goutee, turned into a bit more! Jim took the girls trick or treating, and Bryden lasted about 4 houses and decided to hand out candy with me, but Emmy was a trouper and made it up and down our street. Jim said she got the idea of it all and was picking out her own candy from people's buckets and trying to say 'trick or treat'. Enjoy the pics!
