Emmy

Ohhhhh, Emmy! She provides such entertainment. These pictures are not that great, but they are still cute. We are growing strawberries in our garden this year, and Emmy LOVES to go out and pick them. She gets really excited when she sees a bright red one, and goes "Oooooo" and yanks it off and puts it in her little bowl. She gets them all gathered and takes them over to the hose and rinses them, sits on the steps and takes one bite out of each of them, and leaves the rest of the berry! Haha! So funny though. She is so ritualistic in everything in her life, and her strawberry routine is no different! Then the rest are pics when I was outside last week tackling the grass and mulch beds. She came over and sat on my bucket, and the lighting on her was so perfect that I had to run and grab my camera. None of the pics do justice to how cute she was that day, her hair is a bit crazy, and the light reflection in her glasses makes her eyes look funny, but you can see the story through the pics. She had a snack, then I picked a flower and put it behind my ear, then gave it to her, she tried to put it behind her ear, which ended up in her ear, then she tried to put it in her baby's ear! There are a couple cute ones of her legs crossed sitting on the bucket! Anyway, on this day, what I saw through my eyes I just couldn't capture on camera, but they are cute none-the-less! Enjoy!

Family Bowling

We had family bowling night a few weeks ago. It was a lot of fun, Bryden got right into it and had a blast, Emmy was a little scared at first, but watched for a little while, ate some fries and then was ready to bowl. I had a rockstar game, out of ten frames, 8 of them were strikes or spares! Yup, the "M" is for Mommy, and I dominated!!! I guess that bowling class in college paid off! Enjoy the pics!

We have been in Florida for the past week and a half, totally spoiling ourselves with sunshine and water. Here are some awesome pics of our time here, including sunsets, Bryden pulling her own tooth out, beach days, pool time and beautiful sunsets! Enjoy!

We have been talking up The Lochness Monster to Bryden all winter. When she was 3, she was tall enough to ride the Big Bad Wolf, but they took that ride down last summer, so there were no big roller coasters for her to ride. Lochness was next on the height list, she had to grow 2 inches since last summer to be able to ride it. Last week we went, and she was a 1/4 inch too short. Well, we fed her tons of veggies, and amazingly, this week, only 5 days later, she was tall enough! Well, it helped that she wore different sneakers that had a little more "heel" on them, but whatever! Soooo, she was excited and nervous, I was jumping up and down when they said she was tall enough, I told her we could just walk up and wait in line and then just walk through if she decided not to ride. Well, it wasn't busy, so we only had to wait two cars for our turn, but she decided right away she was going to ride...front seat and all! We are so proud of her, she has a tendency to not try things because she is scared and gets herself worked up (hence why she hasn't pierced her ears yet, even though she has decided several times she is ready!), but she didn't get worked up about it at all. She made the decision and that was that! I video taped her first ride on my cell phone, and nearly got kicked out of the park because they caught me on camera with my arm out of the harness holding a "loose object". But it would have been worth it anyway! She put her head forward each time we went upside down, so it kind of whipped back, but the next time she kept her head back and then it wasn't so jerky. There are some pics of Emmy enjoying the balloons and a flying something or other ride. I love the series shots on the balloons. She is like Jim, although fearless in every other aspect of her life, not a fan of any rides that move fast, she likes the slow ones. Bryden, like me, is very calculating and cautious in her everyday life, is a thrill seeker when it comes to rides. She has always loved the fast moving rides from when she was little!
